Abstract

Socio-cultural competence is one of the competency standards that must be met by Civil Servants in carrying out their duties as public servants. Digital disruption has also changed the attitudes, behavior and patterns of Civil Servants in the delivery of public services. In an effort to increase the socio-cultural competence of Civil Servants, a learning method is needed that is able to encourage learning effectiveness so that the competence of participants is fulfilled. Scoping immersion is a new approach that emphasizes participant observation and experiential learning by visiting a location to understand and feel the local context in depth. The implementation of the method is carried out through the learning preparation stage, the learning implementation stage and the learning outcome stage, so as to produce quality learning outcomes.
