Abstract

Training and education (training) expertise in procurement of goods / services is important for the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) because the Ministry of PUPR is responsible for the construction of road, bridge, water and residential infrastructure. This work is mostly tendered, and for this, it is needed people who are experts in auction, procurement of goods and services, well known as Work Units (Satker). The need for people skilled in this field is very high, however it is not easy to succeed after training in the procurement of goods and services. The percentage of success is very small at 42%. This is what attracts the attention of researcher to find out what factors are causing the lack of participants who succeed in the training. The purpose of this research is to find out the causative factors, and suggestions to be achieved 100%. The study was conducted on education and training items for the first and second batches held in February and March 2020, carried out at the Training Centre PUPR IV in Bandung. The method used was a qualitative method. Data obtained through questionnaires, participants data and interviews. From the results of the analysis obtained that the age, education and motivation factors play an important role in the success of goods / services training.
