The Influence of The Workshop on Posters-Making Using Powerpoint on Increasing Knowledge about Health Promotion Media for Health Promotion Officers in Mataram City

Abstract

Power Point, in addition to presentation media can also be used to design posters.   The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of poster making workshop activities using powerpoint on increasing the knowledge of health promotion officers in Mataram City in designing health promotion media.  This research is a quantitative research using the pre-experimental design method type one group pretest-posttest (initial test and single group final test), which is a research activity that provides an initial test before being given treatment, after being given treatment then giving a final test. The study sample used a total sampling technique of 30 people.   In the workshop on designing health promotion media using powerpoint for Mataram City Health Promotion Officers, it showed an increase in participants' knowledge in designing posters using PowerPoint.  Novelty or novelty in this study is designing posters as a health promotion medium using powerpoint and researchers have not found research like this before.  Based on the results of this study, it shows an increase in knowledge from health promotion officers, namely before the workshop and after the workshop  showed knowledge with the lowest value of  10, the highest score of 60% with an average value of  35%.   After the workshop, it showed an increase in knowledge with the lowest score of 30% and the highest value of 100%.  So there is an increase in knowledge by 46%.   In the hypothesis test using t. test analysis shows that the probability value is significant 0.000 < 0.05 or > t table (19. 643>2.069).   This shows that there is aworkshop on making posters using powerpoint to increase knowledge about health promotion media for health promotion workers in Mataram City. From this description, the researcher concluded that the workshop activity of designing posters as a health promotion media using powerpoint for health promotion officers in  Mataram City can increase the knowledge of health promotion officers in Mataram City, therefore the researcher suggested that the workshop activities of designing poster media using powerpoint can  socialized and used as an alternative to improve the knowledge and ability of  health promotion officers  in designing posters as health promotion media
